Joshi Catch Up

Note: Well, time to catch up on some Joshi. :)

Maya Yukihi v Tsukushi - Ice Ribbon 31/03
Good match. The brawling stuff on the outside was dumb but fun. The in ring stuff was intense but ultimately nothing great. Probably cut to shreds missing all the good stuff. ***

Miyu Yamashita v Shoko Nakajima - TJPW YES! Wonderland 2019 03/05
I guess this match is a perfect example of irony. The crowd loved Shoko, obviously, but you could tell that they never really bought that she was going to win but in this case, Shoko actually won. Funny that. The match was really good. Good underdog dynamic ith Miyu working the back and Shoko found ways to catch Miyu out with her uniquely great offence and got the win. Good match. ***1/2

Nanae Takahashi vs Meiko Satomura - Fortune Dream 6 10/06
I thought this was pretty awesome. I could've done without the limb work that went nowhere however. That and it was obviously going to a draw but I liked it a lot. It was very stiff and violent so it worked. ***1/2

Nanae Takahashi v ASUKA - SEAdLINNNG Luckiest 2019 20/03
Big hype going into this and I’d say it delivered even if it wasn’t a big MOTYC. Some good brawling with some heavy shots and nice fight on the balcony. Nanae ruled and ASUKA shined once again. Good match but a bit long in the tooth. ***1/2
