Cry Baby Match: Razor Ramon vs. The 1-2-3 Kid (w/Ted DiBiase)
Not exactly a money feud. The cry baby kicks is so cartoon-y and silly. I’m not one to try and claim that “they should’ve done this and that” but they should’ve had Razor beat the snot out of 1-2-3 Kid, instead what they gave us. 1-2-3 Kid did a really poor job of working over Razor and it’s one of the downsides of the WE style, no way should Kid being controlling the match. Not a good match. *3/4

Duke Droese vs. Hunter Hearst Helmsley
What a snoozefest. Who thought Duke Droese being on a WWF PPV would be a good idea? The gimmick is barley house show worthy and he is so awful in-ring. Zero impactful offence, selling is unremarkable, no in-ring presence. Bland wrestler. HHH isn’t very good, nor does he have the abilities that you could argue are his strengths yet. *

The British Bulldog (w/Jim Cornette) vs. Yokozuna
This was off to quite a fun start but it’s only a stop gap from the overall Yokozuna vs Cornette feud so it’s fine for what it was. *1/2

WWF World Heavyweight Title #1 Contendership Match: Owen Hart (w/Jim Cornette) vs. Shawn Michaels
Call me nit-picky but the commentary is very annoying. Vince’s love for Michals on commentary makes me sick. Not even JR praises Austin to the extent that Vince does.  It was very distracting. Thankfully, Lawler is on game. My favourite part of the match was Jim Cornette inches away of kicking Michaels before the ref sees him and he stops just in time. The timing of it was great, as way Cornette’s reaction. A few things I liked about the match: I dug Michaels’ sell of the enziguri, a call back to the angle. And Owen’s work on top is pretty solid though. Nothing outstanding but he gets heat on Michaels and builds to the eventual comeback well. There were a few spots that were poorly set up like the initial moonsault to Owen on the outside with Owen seeing Michaels whilst taking his time walking into the spot. The match really doesn’t have a ton of animosity that the feud and angle was built upon. Michaels says he wants revenge but it more that happy to dance and play with Owen instead of actually getting revenge. Just poor from him. From someone who is acclaimed for “storytelling” basic things like this seem lost on him in this match. In saying that, Michaels had a fun comeback to end the match. ***1/2

WWF World Heavyweight Title Steel Cage Match: Bret Hart (c) vs. Diesel
I wasn’t digging this at all. Totally low energy from start to finish. The match was worked fine, as most Hart matches are but this wasn’t very fun or engaging to watch. It wasn’t exactly slow but it felt very off. Not a good match. The finish was a good way to further Diesel vs Taker. **1/4

This wasn’t a very good show on most levels. You have got a good match with Michaels vs Owen but that’s it. The rest isn’t worth watching. However, it’s blow 2 hours long and so easy to get through. Best To Worst: Owen Hart vs. Shawn Michaels - [***1/2]. Bret Hart (c) vs. Diesel - [**1/4]. Razor Ramon vs. The 1-2-3 Kid - [*3/4]. The British Bulldog vs. Yokozuna - [*1/2]. Duke Droese vs. Hunter Hearst Helmsley - [*].
