Choshu Takes On Hashimoto & Muto. Plus IWGP Tag Team Titles Are On The Line

NJPW New Battlestation Bay NK

IWGP Tag Team Title Match: Masa Saito & Shinya Hashimoto (c) vs. Keiji Muto & Masahiro Chono - NJPW New Battlestation Bay NK 27/04/1990
Really good back and forth match. Hashimoto And Saito dominant for a little while, Chono and Muto get the advantage by going for the knees. A very well worked tag match. The tag work was really good but the closing stretch was awesome with Muto coming in like a house on fire, unloading punches left and right. ***3/4

NJPW Crush The Super Heavy 1990

Keiji Muto vs. Riki Choshu - NJPW Crush The Super Heavy 1990 Day 1 24/05/1990
This was great. Choshu is the veterean, Muto is the recently returned guy out to make a name for himself and shows so much underdog spunk in this. His rabid punches are great. He keeps pushing and pushing Choshu. Choshu trying to figure out ways to get rid of the unrelenting Muto was very compelling. ****

Shinya Hashimoto vs Riki Choshu - NJPW Crush The Super Heavy 1990 Day 3 28/05/1990
Kind of disappointing because it’s Choshu vs Hashimoto and it’s just pretty good but it was pretty good. Missing that magic that their other matches are filled with but there is some good wrestling in this. Hashimoto throws some brutal kicks to the throat of Choshu. Choshu is great on offence and pounds Hashimoto hard. ***1/2
