Timothy Thatcher vs. Jordan Devlin - Tetsujin Is F'n Dead: The Final Tetsujin

wXw Unified World Wrestling Title Match: Timothy Thatcher (c) vs. Jordan Devlin - Tetsujin Is F'n Dead: The Final Tetsujin

This was mostly Thatcher on top, thankfully. His style is closer to what this match is trying to be so it makes sense that Thatcher dominates. Thatcher has some nice submissions, grinding his way around Devlin's body and putting the little extra twists in it, like Thatcher wrapping his forearm around Devlin's nose bone. He threw some decent strikes on top but not as many as you'd like. Loved him patiently waiting for Devlin to let down his guard before unleashing a nasty elbow from up top. Devlin at times kept on going back to the pro style of doing offence. Like he pushed Thatcher to the ropes and threw punches to the stomach in a way you would in wrestling. No real menace in them and nothing that'll do much damage. He even threw a pele kick which isn't a good idea in a setting like this. The strike exchange had some alright slaps with Devlin getting a few good ones in and blocking Thatcher's signature big slap. Thatcher hoisting Devlin from a standing position into the Kimura with a suplex using the arms was awesome, although it should've been the finish which came almost immediately after. It was a decent match. Devlin, bless him, isn't cut out fotr this match. Although I think under a different environment with not much expectation of the clear shoot style vibes they are going for, this would've been much better. Disappointing a bit. **3/4
