Atlantis vs. El Satanico
Atlantis is a name some would recognise at least from his modern matches against Villano III, Ultimo Guerrero or La Sombra. Here, he is a young rising superstar looking to continue his rise to stardom against one of the top rudos (heels) in Mexico at the time, El Satanico. The name screams rudo instantly. El Satanico was arguably at the top of his game as a main eventer in the mid 80s and would stay in the main events for years to come. Match starts out rockin with Atlantis hitting some arm drags and starts to begin attacking the back of Satanico by throwing him into the corner and a camel clutch and makes short work of El Satanico with a row boat type submission for the win. Satanico sells his back really well during the fall, just stumbling around slowly and falling to the fall after the bumps in the corner. More of the same in the 2nd fall with Atlantis attacking the back but Satanico using his cheating tactics to gain control and viciously attacks Atlantis and taunts the crowd before rolling him up for the 2nd fall win. He begins ripping the mask before and during the 3rd falls, really playing up the hate the crowd is diving him. Atlantis bumps and sells super hard, all while he starts bleeding through his mask. It makes for a great visual too.. Atlantis makes his comeback and slams Satanico’s heads in the turnbuckle as the fans go crazy for him. The two start exchanging some strikes, mixed in with some great brawling. Satanico gets busted open, both are bleeding buckets, the crowd are going mental and the selling is fantastic which makes it all the better. The finishing stretch is awesome too with El Satanico getting the submission win after reversing an abdominal stretch.  This is truly a fantastic match, well worth watching. ****1/2

Hair Vs. Hair Best Two Out Of Three Falls Match: El Satanico vs. Jerry Estrada
Cool match. I dug the hot opening fall withEstrada  attacking Satanico immediately and having the tides turned until Satanico submits him with a standing figure four. The second all loses me in all truth, but it segways into the third fall nicely with the inclusion of Estrada attacking Satanico’s arm. Estrada took some heavy bumps to the floor in this match. Satanico lasted him with a knee, sending Estrada to the outside neck first, Estrada almost necked himself with a tope to score the second fall and the one in the crowd particularly looked uncomfortable. Satanico’s offence was excellent as was his selling. He knows how to time his comebacks really well not to undermine his opponent’s work. And he knows how to milk the drama of the comeback as well. In this case, Satanico gets lucky with the backslide, but it certainly earned it by constantly plugging away with punches and escaping Estrada’s killer moves. ****

RINGS Fighting Integration IV - 27/06/1998

Kiyoshi Tamura vs Tsuyoshi Kohsaka
Can safely say that this is one of the greatest matches of this style. I love me some RINGS but this was just on another level IMO. This was an exhilarating 30 minutes battle with some slick but tight submissions and some fantastic, pin point striking. The first ten minutes was pure grappling with no rest, it was non stop with the two constantly fighting to get one top and control the fight. Tamura used his experience and skills to keep on top and control the holds but Kohsaka held his own, defending well and constantly got some great submissions in. And then the seam transition into the striking was superfluous. The action is very explosive and it brought all sorts of intensity to the mix. Then a beautiful climax to the time limit draw. I'm struggling to put this into words tbh. This is fantastic. *****
