Naomichi Marufuji vs Katsuhiko Nakajima, Jon Moxley vs Nick Gage & 37KAMIINA vs DISASTER BOX

GCW World Title Death Match: Jon Moxley (c) vs. Nick Gage - GCW Fight Club: Mox Vs. Gage - 09/10/2021
It was so cool seeing a Deathmatch as high profile as this. You could probably consider Moxley's Lights Out match as one but it's just not the same as this one. Pizza Cutters, light tubes, paynes of glass. This had all the Deathmatch tropes. It didn't have the drama of the Rickey Shane Page match last year and this lost its steam toward the end but this was still a joy to watch. Moxley swaggered around the ring like he was the biggest thing in the world and Gage made him pay for it in blood. The result was surprising though. But with GCW running the Hammerstein Ballroom, this is a guaranteed sell out. All in all, this was pretty awesome. So fucking cool to see. ***1/2

GHC Heavyweight Title Match: Naomichi Marufuji (c) vs. Katsuhiko Nakajima - NOAH Grand Square 2021 In Osaka - 10/10/2021
I could try to write a big paragraph going through the positives of the match, the good work on the arm by Marufuji, the quick bursts of strikes and the solid link-up work in between everything but honestly, this didn't fully engage me as a viewer. Nakajima has long deserved another shot at the GHC Heavyweight Title reign after his great work for the last few years now so I'm glad he won out and Marufuji is a fine person to beat with his legacy. But this had no real value to me other than background noise to have on while I eat. It didn't really wow me or blow me away despite the perfect capabilities these two possessed. I'll be polite and give it ***

KO-D Tag Team Title Match: The 37KAMIINA (Konosuke Takeshita & Shunma Katsumata) (c) vs. DISASTER BOX (HARASHIMA & Naomi Yoshimura) - DDT Get Alive 2021 - 12/10/2021
The strength of this match was the great teamwork of Takeshita and Shunma Katsumata. They were a well oiled unit, not only making constant saves whenever one was on the backfoot, but linking up together offensively, too, pulling out terrific double team moves and sequences. Including an avalanche rolling senton  ala The Quebecers. Together, they were able to control most of the match, isolating Yoshimura from HARASHIMA and almost winning out in the end. Yoshimura had a strong performance though, taking both 2 on 1 when it mattered, allowing his team to make a great comeback. The closing stretch was excellent. Logical nearfalls with the and finisher teases. Yoshimura got the win for his team as well to win the KO-D Tag Team Titles with the Powerbomb. ****
